The CCDF program is a federally funded child care subsidy program that assists working families or families seeking higher education through child care financial assistance and promotes children’s learning by improving the quality of early care and education and afterschool programs.

Family Preservation and PSSF:
The Purpose of the Family Preservation and PSSF Program is to:

  • Assist parents so that they are alleviated of stress by removing financial barriers to providing adequate education and health services to Indian children of our Tribal Community. (Health Services can include, dental, vision, sports exams, etc.)
  • To provide families with the ability to cope with the problems of daily living, and to preserve or restore their social, emotional or economic well-being providing for future tribal generations a more stable foundation.

Clients will only have to submit one application per year; however any changes to school status or address must be reported so that we may keep your application current.  A verification statement will be required prior to each issue date.
Applications will be released as funding becomes available to addresses on file at the Modoc Tribal enrollment office.  Make sure your address is current!

Educational Services are offered to Modoc Tribe of Oklahoma members. Services include opportunities for scholarships, funding for school and related expenses, and opportunities for lifelong learning. Additional education information can be found:

SPECIAL NEEDS STUDENTS (Modoc tribal member only ages 0 to 18):Special Needs Application Form

If your child has a physician diagnosed special need or disability then you may be eligible for assistance in the form of tutoring, equipment, learning tools, etc…

Tribal Child Support Services – TCSS

The mission is to improve the well being of Native American children by promoting the emotional and financial responsibility between parents for their children. Click for more information

Modoc Housing Authority (MHA) manages the HUD Native American Low Income Housing program (see below Modoc Housing Form for application) for the Modoc Tribe of Oklahoma. Modoc Tribal members are given preference on the waiting list and with rent at a reduced rate. MHA manages other Modoc Tribal Rental Properties, offered at local area rates. MHA manages the Modoc Tribal Indian Health Services (I.H.S.-121) Program, which provides water and sewer grants to Modoc Tribal members (see below water/sewer application). Applications for both rental programs and I.H.S.-121 program may be downloaded below, by calling 918-542-8175 or in person at 416 H Street SE, Miami, OK 74354.

Application for Water/Sewer Housing Assistance

Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP): Modoc Tribal Members ONLY, call for application. Assistance is eligibility and income based.

·         Heating services through the winter months.
·         Cooling services through the summer months.

Crisis assistance is offered when there is an immediate danger such as:
·         Shut off notice for gas, utility, or propane is out during winter.
·         Electric shut off during summer.

Energy assistance is provided to Modoc Tribal members in any U.S. state for heating and cooling. Please contact Modoc Housing in person or via telephone, (918) 542-8175 for application and/or any questions.
